A passcode is needed to step inside. We sent it with the invitation.
Some of you already know, and some of you are finding out here: the grand wedding we had planned for this year has taken a small detour.
Due to the ongoing war and the uncertainty it has brought around travel, as well as the safety of our families and guests in the Middle East, the large-scale Amalfi Coast celebration we had imagined is simply not possible this summer.
That said, love continues;
it is simply travelling on a slightly different itinerary.
To everyone who had already booked flights and practised saying “un altro spritz, per favore,” we do have what we think is an excellent new plan for that weekend. In other words, it remains very important that you keep practising how to ask for a spritz.
We will, however, be marking the official wedding moment a little earlier and a little closer to home. On Sunday 19th July at 4:30pm, we will begin with a civil ceremony at Marylebone Town Hall, one of London’s most beautiful and cinematic registry offices, before continuing the celebrations at Kettner’s in Soho, which feels appropriately London.
The full celebration will go ahead in 2027, slightly reimagined and entirely on our terms. Most likely back at Villa Eva in Ravello, where it was always meant to be, but with a different shape. Less “Amalfi wedding” and more “full Persian production on the Amalfi Coast.” It will be a different kind of event entirely, but it will be every bit as full-hearted, joyful, and excessive in all the right ways.
Thank you for your patience, kindness, and understanding. We feel extraordinarily lucky to have so much love and understanding around us as we find our way through this new version, ideally with a drink in hand.
Before Italy, there is London.
On Sunday 19 July at 4:30pm, we will be married in a civil ceremony at Marylebone Town Hall, followed by an evening reception at Kettner’s in Soho.
The ceremony will be small and intimate, with our closest family and friends. Afterwards, we will continue with champagne, a generous cocktail supper, speeches, and time together in one of London’s most storied rooms.
A quick yes or no for the 19th, plus any dietary notes or other thoughts you’d like to send our way.
Thank you. On its way to us.
Every good evening needs a soundtrack. Tell us the one song that simply has to be played at Kettner’s. We’re building the playlist from your picks.
Noted with thanks. Your song is on its way to us. ♪
For those of you we’ve already spoken to who had booked flights, taken time off, or made arrangements around the original Amalfi weekend, we’ve planned a small long weekend on the coast.
This is our way of saying thank you for sticking with us through the change, and for making the journey despite the unexpected detour.
The full celebration is still planned for 2027, and that is the one we very much hope everyone can make.
For those this applies to, the full schedule lives on its own separate page, with all the times, locations, and details for the weekend. If you’re not sure whether this is you, just message us and we’ll send over the details directly.
We will begin with a traditional sofreh aghd, a Persian wedding ceremony filled with symbols of light, sweetness, blessing, and a long life together. Surrounded by our loved ones, we will gather by the sea to witness love coming together.
Villa Eva is still in the plans, though the final setting is yet to be confirmed. What we do know is by the sea: a long coastal view, lemon trees nearby, warm air, and late golden light. We are imagining somewhere beautiful, intimate, and open to the horizon.
After the ceremony, we will sit down to Persian food and feasting, long tables, music, and plenty of dancing late into the night. It will be a day for gathering everyone we love in one place: a full-hearted celebration from beginning to end.
We’ll send everything once it’s settled. Date, venue, travel, RSVP, all in one place. Drop your name and email below to be the first to know.
Thank you. You’re on the list and we’ll be in touch.
